Performance
The BB2250 can machine bores ranging from 2.25" to 16" (64 to 406 mm) in diameter.
Boring Bar
Chrome-plated boring bar with a diameter of 2.25 inches (57 mm). The square tool holder accepts 1/2-inch (12 mm) square cutting tools. Standard boring bar lengths are 48", 72", 96", and 144" (1219 mm, 1829 mm, 2438 mm, and 3658 mm).
Drive Unit
The BB2250 drive system features a 6:1 reduction gear drive and can be equipped with pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric motors.
Feed Rate
0 to 0.015 inches of axial feed per revolution (0 to 0.4 mm of axial feed per revolution).
Feed Screw
Steel, 1-4 Acme thread, double-start feed screw.
Feed Stroke
12-inch stroke (305 mm) with a 20-inch long (508 mm) feed screw. 24-inch stroke (610 mm) with a 32-inch long (813 mm) feed screw.
Cutting Tools
The BB2250 boring bar tool holder accepts standard 1/2-inch (12 mm) square cutting tools.
