Powerful Performance, Compact Structure
Stationary Power, Field Flexibility: Combines the raw power of a stationary machine tool with the portability required for field operations, tackling tough machining challenges in record time.
High-Torque Output: Equipped with an 11.3 cu. in. (185.3 cc) hydraulic motor, delivering a boring bar output torque of 4,783 ft-lbs (6,484.9 Nm) at 15.1 RPM.
Efficient Design: The modular, compact design ensures quick and easy installation, significantly boosting operational efficiency and reducing downtime.
Versatility & Flexibility
Extended Range: Compatible with various facing attachments, offering a boring diameter range of 14.5–85.6 inches (368.3–2,174.2 mm) and a facing diameter range of 14–97.7 inches (355.6–2,481.6 mm).
Premium Bearings: Both the ID mount bearing and the end mount bearing utilize spherical tapered lock roller bearings.
Precision Alignment: The end mount allows for ±0.25 inch (6.35 mm) fine adjustment to ensure precise boring bar centering.
Dual-Function Option: An optional dual-action Boring/Facing Arm expands the facing range, allowing both boring and facing operations without changing equipment.
Full-Length Square Ways: The Boring/Facing Arm features full-length square ways for quick positioning anywhere along the arm; it connects via a clamp and a precision-fit tool holder to ensure rigid tool mounting.
Independent Adjustments: Features independent adjustments for the tool holder, split nut, Boring/Facing arm alignment, and tool block to achieve optimal machining performance.
Rigid Tool Holding: The precision-fit tool holder clamps onto the boring bar for facing; for boring, the clearance between the holder and bar is adjustable. This flexible design ensures extreme rigidity in both modes.
Split-Frame Construction: The precision-fit tool holder uses a split-frame structure for easy installation and removal on the bar, compatible with either the Boring/Facing head assembly or the new Boring/Facing arm assembly.
Dual Heads: Configured with front and rear boring heads, allowing simultaneous machining with two boring heads.
New Arm Option: For greater radial travel and extended facing range, the new Boring/Facing Arm is available. It is easy to install and features an industry-standard quick-change tooling system for both boring and facing.
Standard Tooling: The versatile tool block accommodates industry-standard tools, fitting nominal 1-inch (25.4 mm) square tool bits.
Rotatable Holder: The tool holder on the Boring/Facing arm can be rotated for maximum layout flexibility (including partial overhang configurations).
Superior Design & Reliability
Modular Rigidity: Unique modular tool holder design transfers machining forces directly to the boring bar via optimized adjustable guide gibs, significantly enhancing strength and rigidity.
Hard Chrome-Plated Bar: The boring bar is hard chrome-plated, with straightness controlled to within 0.001 inch per foot (0.0254 mm per 304.8 mm).
Sighting Option: Boring bar with a sighting target is available as an option.
Split Nut Design: The adjustable, removable split nut enhances the flexibility of the precision-fit tool holder; the holder is easily removed for multi-bore machining.
Wear Adjustment: Equipped with a wear adjustment nut that can be adjusted in the field to eliminate tool holder play, extending the equipment's service life.
