Maximizing Efficiency, Minimizing Downtime
Integrating powerful boring capabilities into a compact, modular machine tool.
Powerful & Compact
Stationary Power in the Field: Bring the performance of a stationary machine tool to the job site and solve complex machining challenges in record time.
High Torque Output: Powered by an 11.3 cu. in. (185 cc) hydraulic motor, delivering 2,280 ft-lbs (3,090 Nm) of torque at the boring bar at 29 RPM.
Rapid Deployment: Most compact modular components are manually portable, allowing for quick and easy installation that maximizes efficiency and reduces downtime.
Versatile & Flexible
Extended Range: Capable of boring diameters from 10.25–58.25 inches (260.4–1,479.6 mm) and facing diameters from 9.6–62.5 inches (243.8–1,587.5 mm).
Premium Bearings: Both ID mount and face mount bearings utilize spherical taper-lock roller bearings.
Precision Alignment: The face mount allows for ±0.625 inch (15.9 mm) fine adjustment for precise boring bar centering.
Dual-Action Option: An optional dual-action Boring/Facing Arm expands the facing range, enabling simultaneous boring and facing operations without equipment changeover.
Full-Length Square Ways: The Boring/Facing Arm features full-length square ways for rapid positioning anywhere along the arm. It connects via a clamp and a precision-fit tool holder to ensure optimal tool stability.
Independent Adjustments: Excellent machine adjustability with independent controls for the tool holder, split-nut, Boring/Facing arm alignment, and tool block to achieve peak performance.
Dual Heads: Configured with front and rear boring heads, allowing simultaneous machining with two heads.
New Arm Option: For greater facing range and longer continuous travel, the new Boring/Facing Arm is available. It is easy to install and features an industry-standard quick-change tooling system suitable for both boring and facing.
Versatile Tooling: The multi-purpose tool block accommodates industry-standard tools, supporting nominal 0.5, 0.75, or 1 inch (12.7, 19.1, or 25.4 mm) square tool bits.
Rotatable Holder: The tool holder on the Boring/Facing arm is rotatable, offering maximum flexibility for machining layouts (including partial overhang configurations).
Rigid Clamping: The precision-fit tool holder clamps to the boring bar for facing; for boring, the clearance between the holder and bar is adjustable, ensuring maximum rigidity in either mode.
Split-Frame Design: The precision-fit tool holder features a split-frame design for easy installation on the bar. It can be flexibly configured to use the boring head assembly for boring or facing, or equipped with the new Boring/Facing arm assembly.
Superior Design
Optimized Rigidity: Features a uniquely designed modular tool holder that transfers machining forces directly to the boring bar via strategically placed adjustable gibs, achieving superior strength and rigidity.
Chrome-Plated Bar: The boring bar is chrome-plated, with straightness controlled to within 0.001 inch per foot (0.0254 mm per 304.8 mm).
Sighting Target: Boring bar with a sighting target is available.
Split-Nut Flexibility: The adjustable, removable split-nut enhances the flexibility of the precision-fit tool holder; the holder is easily removed for multi-bore machining.
Wear Adjustment: A backlash adjustment nut allows for field adjustment to eliminate tool holder play, extending the machine's service life.
