Compact Power, Maximum Efficiency
This compact, modular machine tool combines powerful boring performance with the ability to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Powerful & Compact
Field-Ready Power: Bring the performance of a stationary machine tool to the job site and solve complex machining challenges in record time.
High Torque Output: Powered by an 11.3 cu. in. (185.3 cc) hydraulic motor, delivering 1,435 ft-lbs (1,945.6 Nm) of torque at the spindle at 33 RPM.
Rapid Deployment: Compact modular components allow for quick setup and commissioning, significantly boosting efficiency and reducing downtime.
Versatile & Flexible
Extended Range: Standard stacked block assemblies offer a boring diameter of 8.8–40.8 inches (223.5–1,036.3 mm); with various facing attachments, facing diameters range from 7.5–42.1 inches (190.5–1,069.3 mm).
Premium Bearings: ID and end-mount bearings utilize spherical taper-lock roller bearings, facilitating easy spindle installation and removal while allowing up to 1.5 degrees of misalignment during installation.
Precision Alignment: The end-mount bearing allows for ±0.625 inch (15.9 mm) fine adjustment for precise spindle centering.
Dual-Action Option: An optional dual-action Boring/Facing Arm expands the facing range, enabling both boring and facing operations without equipment changeover.
Full-Length Square Ways: The Boring/Facing Arm features full-length square ways for rapid positioning anywhere along the arm. It connects via a compression clamp and a precision-fit tool holder to ensure maximum tool stability.
Rigid Clamping: The precision-fit tool holder clamps to the spindle for facing; for boring, the clearance between the holder and spindle is adjustable, ensuring high rigidity in both modes.
New Arm Option: The new Boring/Facing Arm further expands facing range and continuous travel, with quick and easy setup for both boring and facing.
Split-Frame Design: The precision-fit tool holder features a split-frame design for easy installation on the boring bar. It can be configured with a boring head assembly for boring, a mechanical facing head for facing, or the new Boring/Facing arm assembly for both operations simultaneously.
Dual Heads: Configured with front and rear boring heads, allowing simultaneous use of two boring heads.
Versatile Tooling: The multi-purpose tool block accommodates industry-standard tools with a nominal 3/4-inch (19.1 mm) square shank.
Rotatable Holder: The tool holder on the Boring/Facing arm is rotatable, offering greater flexibility for machining setups (including partial overhang configurations).
Superior Design
Optimized Rigidity: Features a uniquely designed modular tool holder that transfers machining forces directly to the boring bar via strategically placed adjustable gibs, achieving superior strength and rigidity.
Chrome-Plated Bar: The durable chrome-plated boring bar has straightness controlled to within 0.001 inch per foot (0.0254 mm per 304.8 mm), ensuring machining accuracy.
Split-Nut Flexibility: The adjustable, removable split-nut enhances the flexibility of the precision-fit tool holder; the holder is easily removed for multi-bore machining.
Wear Adjustment: A backlash adjustment nut allows for field adjustment to eliminate tool holder play, extending the equipment's service life.
