The KM3000 portable keyway milling machine is a simple, rugged, and reliable machine tool for machining keyways in shafts without extensive disassembly. The self-centering V-base provides quick and easy mounting. The standard bar clamp accommodates shafts from 1.5 to 4.5 inches (38.1 – 114.3 mm) in diameter, enabling machining of both shaft-end and mid-shaft keyways. The machine can also be mounted on flat surfaces for machining motor mounting slots. With the optional shim kit, keyways or slots can be machined on shafts as small as 0.75 inches (19.1 mm) in diameter.

• Self-centering, self-aligning V-base ensures precise keyway alignment with the shaft.
• Requires only 1.5 inches (38.1 mm) of shaft clearance for mounting; machines full-length keyways within the machine's travel range.
• Optional chain clamp assembly accommodates shafts up to 10.5 inches (266.7 mm) in diameter.
• Recessed V-base design allows machining to the very end of the shaft.

• Precision Acme lead screw with roller thrust bearings provides low-friction feed.
• Vertical adjustment dial with zero-reset function allows cutting depth adjustments to 0.001 inch (0.1 mm).
• Sealed aluminum gearbox allows operation at any angle.
• Precision ground spindle housing ensures smooth operation.
• Motor features soft start and maintains consistent speed under increasing load.
